The Pledge : transparency.coffee
Sitting at 1,760 meters above sea level in Burundi’s northern Kayanza province, the Bwayi washing station collects coffee cherries from over 1,400 small-scale producers across 29 hills. There, coffee grows alongside bananas, tea, oats, and even pineapples — a vibrant, diversified agriculture that nourishes both the land and the people.
It's the first year that we have the beans of Bwayi station, and we hope you’ll be as stoked as us!
It's a coffee that’s both delicate and expressive, with notes of blood orange and dried fruit. The texture is round and creamy, lifted by a juicy, vibrant acidity. The finish brings out roasted almond and a subtle floral touch. As an espresso, its creamy body makes it a great option with milk. As a filter brew, the fruit shines through with a bright, zesty character.
