Our new natural Ethiopian coffee is here and it’s making a splash! Vibrant, super fruity, and full of texture, it offers a rich, velvety mouthfeel with notes of berry fruits like raspberry, haskap, and blueberry, all wrapped in a delicate floral finish. The aftertaste is long and lively, with a bright acidity that suggests citrus and pomegranate juice. As a filter brew, it’s round and creamy, almost jammy. As an espresso, the blueberry-dark chocolate combo hits just right.

This lot was harvested by 130 small-scale producers, with support from the export company Olkai. Founded in 2018 by Tagel Alemayehu, a former race car driver turned coffee expert, Olkai is now a respected name in the Ethiopian coffee scene.

Tagel was born in Bule Hora, right in the heart of coffee country, where his father opened the region’s very first washing station. After years of managing stations across Guji, Tagel launched Olkai with his partner, who now leads the company’s export operations. Together, they work with stations in some of the most sought-after regions: Guji, Bule Hora, and Sidama.
