Originally from San Sebastián, Lempira, Martha Lícida is the eldest of 14 children born to a family of farmers. From a young age, she worked on the farm and developed an interest in commerce, selling bread and sweets in her village. Married at 22, she began traveling to Guatemala to buy and resell goods, until a friend encouraged her to start growing coffee.
In 1987, she purchased her first plot of land in San Sebastián and gradually expanded her production. With the support of the exporter Bon Café, Martha improved her farming and processing techniques, and today she stands out for the exceptional quality of her coffee.
