This coffee comes from Gikingo washing station, located in the commune of Gashoho in Burundi. 960 coffee producers from the surrounding hills deliver coffee to Gikingo every year, and 415 of them are responsible for this batch. It’s our second consecutive year working with Gikingo, thanks to our importing partner Apex Coffee.
Gikingo belongs to ODECA, a government entity set up in 2020 to improve the working and living conditions of nearly 800,000 families of Burundi who depend on coffee cultivation for their livelihood.
